it's been a long couple of days, had my bestie here for a couple of days last week and my moms been in the hospital so i just haven't had the chance to update. i ordered these boots from torrid last week and i just got them yesterday!!! i couldn't wait to wear them :D i've NEVER owned a pair of knee high boots and i seriously feel unbelievably sexy in them! lol

oh yeah and i my hair is naturally curly but i hardly ever wear it like that! i figured it'd look pretty cute with the outfit so i took the time to do the "do"

this weekend marked our 1st year in ny. i can't believe how quickly time flies.
it's been probably 14-15 years since i've actually experienced autumn or really any season other than summer (i've lived in fl most of my life) and it's really quite amazing to see the leaves changing colors and the wind blowing them in the air. it's just beautiful!!!

This is Halloween....

I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas today! I'd never seen it before so I thought it only appropriate on this Halloween 2009 to title the blog from the first song in the movie :)
Today we spent the day at my aunts house (they're in Miami so we' have the whole house to ourselves) we just relaxed watched movies, ate yummy food and ignored the doorbell and left the lights off to avoid the Trick or Treaters!!! It was a good night indeed and ended early cause we have to go to work tomorrow morning :(

I went on a picture rampage while leevan napped this afternoon/evening so beware of a picture overload!!!

Cake, I love you...

my boyfriend is quite possibly the bestest boyfriend in the world! i know most girls would say that but last night...he proved it! i came home from work craving, of all things, BIRTHDAY CAKE! so, when he came back from running errands what do you think he had with him? if you guessed birthday cake then...YOU'RE WRONG! lol he brought home a mini "i love you" cake and it was THE BESTEST "i love you" cake i ever ate!

I missed the sun today...

Sadly, the beautiful sun that was here yesterday was nowhere to be seen today. The skies were gray, the air was cold and it just made the day seem to last forever....
LUCKILY, the work week is done and I have tonight and tomorrow to spend with my man :) I plan on taking a hot shower, pouring a glass of white wine, putting a movie on and hopefully relax this weekend.





my bff and I just recently cut our bangs. You haven't seen them yet because I've been especially lazy this week but maybe tomorrow I'll put them down for you to see!

The rain has stopped and the sun is out! I've been wanting to take pics for my first ever OOTD but the weather just hasn't been ideal...until today!







this is probably my main reason for wanting to take pics outside! I love this staircase and I have a feeling this will not be the last time we see it in this blog.
